Customer Care Makes All the Difference in Shopping

I like to shop.

Do you?

I find joy and pleasure in shopping. I enjoy the whole experience. At least I do when I find stores that treat me right.

And when I say “stores,” I really mean the people I’m dealing with in the stores.

It’s the people who make all the difference. Don’t you agree?

I have a favorite local store that caters to runners. They sell shoes, clothing, gear … everything that a runner could possibly need. I buy all of my running shoes there.

I could just as easily (and honestly, it might even be easier to) buy my running shoes online from Amazon or Zappos. But I don’t. I always go back to this local specialty shop.

Why?

I do like to support local businesses, but it goes beyond that. I keep going back because of the personal help in fitting as well as the staff’s expertise and knowledge of the local running scene.

I know I can trust their advice. They welcome me and make me feel important when I step through the doors. I’ve built a relationship with them.

I don’t get that from an online website.

You can’t get that from an online website. Not for running shoes. Not for insurance, either.

An insurance website can’t listen to the nuances of your questions and give you the answers that really address your needs. A website can’t properly advise you and answer other questions you might not even know you needed to ask.

An insurance website simply can’t replace a qualified insurance agent.

You can’t get the customer care, have the same level of trust or build a relationship with an insurance website as you can with a real, live person. Like you can with me.

I’m on a mission to help as many people as possible understand that buying insurance online is “bad.” It’s not worth the savings they might see, because the savings come at the cost of not having the right protection should something happen.

We all think it won’t happen to us. But I’ve helped process A LOT of claims. And it does happen.

So please help me spread the word. Invite your friends and family to get to know me by forwarding them this email as an introduction to me. Let them know that I’m happy to review their current policies to make sure they do, in fact, have coverages that will protect them when something happens.

Especially those friends and family who have policies with any of those online insurance companies. (I don’t want to even say their names, but you know the ones.)
