Here are a few tips to keep you prepared, should you get in an auto accident…
Before you get in an accident:
- Add your insurance agent’s contact information to your phone contacts.
- Add your insurance company’s claim numbers to your phone contacts with your policy number in the notes section.
- Keep a photo of your insurance ID card stored in the “notes section” of your phone.
- Also, keep your insurance card in your glove box.
- Print this PDF and keep in the glove box of each car to help you know what information to collect.
If you get in an accident, keep these things in mind:
- Try to keep calm. Call the police if anyone is injured.
- Note the date, time and location of the accident.
- Do not admit responsibility at the scene.
- Limit the information about your insurance coverage to what is on your ID card.
- REPORT ALL LOSSES TO US IMMEDIATELY. Call me or the insurance company directly to report the accident.
